Ideally, we like to help you prevent fraud and commercial theft BEFORE they take place. Fraud occurs because the opportunity exists. We identify those opportunities, and advise on putting in place easy-to-follow control procedures. In the worst cases we can trace missing assets or provide expert witnesses and litigation support for legal proceedings.

How our services benefit you

We prefer preventive security. Sadly, as a rule we are called in only AFTER a loss has been detected. The issue then is to stem any further loss immediately; trace any monies or assets that may have been stolen; and institute proper procedures for the future.

Fraud is practised when times are good (senior management are too busy with the business): and when times are bad (employees feel threatened financially). Corporate restructuring, which may remove suddenly layers of management - and with it, layers of control - provides ripe opportunities for fraudsters.

Business people tend to see fraud only in terms of how much is missing. The time and energy expended by management in dealing with the problem when it is discovered is invariably ignored. It ought not to be. And there are a host of 'knock-on' problems, such as replacing staff, the effect on employee morale, etc.

What we do

It's people who commit fraud and, not surprisingly, one way of preventing it is to check the people you employ. Due diligence and checking of personnel is a cost effective way of alerting yourself to future dangers. And the same can be said for possible business partners, agents, even customers or clients - Do you really know who you're dealing with?

Very often a simple 'security health check' points to potential trouble spots which can be put right quickly, and at little cost. (See our Special Offer). Such a check may reveal fraud, in which case some remedial action will be needed, as a matter of urgency.

And, where fraud has been perpetrated, and actual losses incurred. We can call upon our network of contacts, both local and overseas, to trace people and assets and, in many instances, effect a recovery.
